Youth Program

Helping Kids and Families Heal, Grow, and Thrive

The For the Love of Children Initiative, also known as the Youth Program, helps children and families impacted by homelessness by providing wraparound supports and services. The Youth Program currently serves over 100 children and adolescents living in My Sisters’ Place’s supportive housing apartments.

Meeting the Needs of Formerly Homeless Youth

Kids who have experienced homelessness need extra TLC to grow and thrive. The Youth Program provides them with a safe and stable environment to:

  • Rebuild academic and social skills
  • Make friends
  • Experience the joys of childhood
  • Discover their full potential

Parents Are Not Alone

The parents of children in the Youth Program need support as they manage the stresses of daily life on top of healing from the trauma of homelessness. The Youth Program’s knowledgeable and caring staff helps them navigate complex systems and work through challenges so the whole family can have what they need to be happy, self-sufficient, and move towards independence.
